ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with Benefit coordination, including strong knowledge of insurance plans, RRSP, short-and long-term disability plans, and life insurance plans.

Assist with recruiting and staffing functions.

Oversee hiring process to include: background checks.

Assist with Leave of Absence administration.

Assist with New Hire Orientation, training and development.

Participates in development, implementation and maintenance of policies, objectives, and short and long-range planning.

Develop and implement the projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established department and company goals.

Work with the other HR staff to develop and implement plans and strategies for outreach services and programs.

Conduct research on the effectiveness and appropriateness of efforts within the community, and provide leadership in the planning, development, and management of new initiatives.

Completion of office reports on employment activity, unemployment claims, and other company and mandated reporting.

In conjunction with HR team, develop and facilitate training programs, which effectively meet the needs of the organization.

Assist with the the processing and entry of employee source data and documentation into the HR information system and the manual personnel files.

Provide guidance and recommendations to the department managers and supervisors.

Work to ensure compliance with all Provincial and Canadian laws.

Participates in the development, implementation and maintenance of the policies, objectives, and short and long-range planning.

Develop and implement the projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established department and company goals.

Work with other HR team staff to develop and implement plans and strategies for outreach services and programs.

Perform other HR Generalist functions including employee relations as needed.
